Restaurants in other markets...
As the New York wine industry has been growing over the last few years, we have been able to expand our reach. In the early years of the development of the industry, we focused on bringing the people to the wine through promoting special events at wineries. It is important for wine novices and lovers alike to get out and see where a wine comes from. And we will always be to have visitors come to the wineries, but for the last coupe of years we have been focusing on bringing the wine to the people. We have had the pleasure of working with several restaurants in other markets before we started this program with Albany. To our delight, many of them are already carrying New York wines and many already work with their own local growers and producers. What is their approach to New York Cuisine? Each area has it's own specialties... chicken wings in Buffalo, spiedies in Binghamton, salt potatoes in Syracuse, roast beef on kimmelwick in Albany, etc.. And this enriches the statewide definition of New York cuisine. We hope that if you are touring in other areas of New York State or if you happen to live near one of these other target markets, you will go out and patronize the local restaurants to experience the wine and food of New York.
